Lettuce is one of the oldest varieties of salad known throughout the world. There are about 100 varieties of lettuce having a wide palette of colors, shapes and sizes. Lettuce tastes quite flat without any bitter or acidic traces. Therefore, lettuce goes well with other salads having a more distinctive taste, and with other vegetables. Despite lack of pronounced taste, Lettuce is rich in vitamins, macro- and micronutrients.
