As part of the exhibition «Agro-2016», held August 18-20 in Chelyabinsk, an enlarged meeting «Development of the fisheries sector in the South Ural: Development Strategy 2020».

The exhibition was organized by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Chelyabinsk region and the company «First Exhibition Association».

The composition of the Presidium meeting included:

  • Head of fish farming and fisheries Ministry of Agriculture of the Chelyabinsk region Ekimov Alexey Yurevich,
  • Head of the State Veterinary Control of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Chelyabinsk region Tuzov Sergey Viktorovich,
  • Director of «BIOnika» LLC Sharypov Salim Sagitovich,
  • The leading ichthyologist of the branch for the conservation of marine biological resources and fishing organizations in the Chelyabinsk region FGBI «Glavrybvod» Remchukov Igor.

The meeting discussed topics related to each participant in the meeting, namely:

«The development of aquaculture in the Chelyabinsk region, the main tasks of 2020». Speaker - Alexey Yurevich Ekimov:

  • Fish farming support programs in the region (subsidies for the industry),
  • The mechanism of auctions for commodity fish farming,
  • The mechanism of release of aquaculture facilities in water objects, which is being implemented since 2015,
  • The mechanism of compensation of damage to water biological resources by enterprises engaged in construction and reconstruction of objects on the territory of the Chelyabinsk region.

«The activities of the fish farms in the Chelyabinsk region». Speaker - Remchukov Igor:

  • Provide the region by planting fish stocks,
  • Prospects for cultivation and the maintenance of their own broodstock,
  • Prospects for breeding of hybrid species, cooperation with other regions.

«The implementation of investment projects aimed at the development of industrial fish farming in the region include construction of a multipurpose complex fish processing complete cycle of sturgeon in Yetkulsky District.»

The report was described by the object under construction, have been affected by the major issues related to the implementation of the investment project «Aquaculture BIOnika» and raised the issue of state support in terms of subsidizing interest on trust loans, subsidies on capital investments.
