Iceberg lettuce is a green crop, a variety of head lettuce, developed in the 20s in California. The variety received its name from a special way of transportation. In order to preserve the lettuce fresh, it was transported interlaid with ice. This kind of lettuce has light green leaves, packed in small loose heads tasting juicy and crispy. The average head weight is 300-400 g.

Actually, all parts of this plant may be used. For example, leaves and flowers are to be used for cooking, while seeds of arugula are to be used to extract oil.
